Maestral Booking: A Mixed Experience

We recently stayed at Maestral 'maestral booking' in September, and while the hotel had just undergone a renovation, our experience was a mix of positives and negatives. The room rate was around €355 per night for bed and breakfast, which seemed reasonable considering the location and amenities.

However, upon arrival, we were surprised to find that the price had dropped to €200 per night just a day before our departure. This lack of transparency in pricing left a sour taste in our mouths.

Despite this issue, there were some advantages to staying at Maestral. The hotel's location is fantastic, with stunning views of the sea and a great spot for watching the sunset. Our standard double room was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel's COVID-19 protocols were also a pleasant surprise. Every staff member wore a mask, which showed that they took the safety of their guests seriously.

However, there were some disappointments during our stay. The bathroom in our room was small and lacked basic amenities such as bottled water (although it was available for purchase at an additional fee). Additionally, the shower had some issues with drainage, leaving us feeling disappointed.

One of the biggest letdowns was the hotel's sunbed reservation system. We noticed that many of the front-row sunbeds were reserved with clean towels and personal belongings, only to be taken by non-guests for a fee. This lack of transparency and honesty left a bad taste in our mouths.

Overall, while Maestral has some great qualities, including its location and recently renovated rooms, there are areas that need improvement. With some tweaks to their pricing policies and sunbed reservation system, this hotel could easily earn at least 4-star rating. As it stands, we can only give it a mixed review.
